    Hello Grozea Ion,

is there any chance you might send me that macro or would you consider
    publishing it?

I think there would be many people around the net that would love you for that!!

    Thanks in advance,

    charlybrown79
  • GROZEA Ion
I already published the functions used in this program on www.catiav5forum.de on
the scripting section of the forum
  • charlybrown79
in other words: you go to the public - on the internet - and show some piece of
software that many people using catia or having to use catia for a living would
    die to have.

But maybe it's hard for you to imagine that there are people around here that
are only mere users and cannot/don't want to learn how to program a macro with
vba, api and what not that stuff is called. They simply want to use a piece of
software that apparently helps and looks quite cool!

I'm not interested in the copyright of your work neither do I want to sell your
    source code.

But if you publish that video and talk about the program on forums - THE place
of public domain - you should either consider to share it or sell it.
Otherwise take it offline if you don't like to be bothered by people who are
desperately searching for a macro like that again and again! Not everybody has a
masters degree on computer science and knows how to ...
  • GROZEA Ion
    No need to get angry
The essence of the code is published and others have done it with or without my
help. The idea of this code and also for the "Get Links" was to show
that it is possible to do such a thing. I don't see anything wrong in publishing
a piece of code and why not...in the future maybe i will consider to sell the
code, I've invested my own time in the development.
PS: I don' have any degree on computer science, I'm just a mechanical engineer.
  • Grozea Ion
This is just a demo movie. There is nothing to be downloaded here.

Ok but, where did you find it? are you creating a macro/program for the tree?

Do you have any information where I could find the way to get something like
    that?

    Thank you very much again.
  • Grozea Ion
this is a program is made by me in vb.net

you can find more details on how is made here at the reply made in 2010-07-08

Thank you for the comment but unfortunately I don't know nothing about vb or
similars...I am a simple user of Catia v5 that think that you could share your
knowledge to help people like me.

Could you share this program with me?

    Thank you very much.
  • Grozea Ion
    unfortunately at this moment no
  • David  - Reorder
    Thank you anyway.

Would be great if someday you can share it.

    Best regards.

    Hello

Can you give me the macro for catia (reordering)?

    Thank you
  • Grozea Ion

    Hello Mr.Grozean Ion,

I'm from Spain and I'm working with Catia v5 for years and, unfortunately, me
and my colleagues we are wasting a lot of time reordering trees...

Can you give me the link to download this program or the instructions to use?

Thank you very very much for you great effort!

    David.
  • Grozea Ion
No, the program presented in this movie is not using cut and paste
  • Anonymous
    Hello
Is cut and paste the only waay/method to reorder the tree with a macro?

    Thank you
    G.Lang
  • Grozea Ion
You can use Cut/Paste in assembly but you have to check first in tools options
mechanical design assembly design constraints tab and choose the right option
for you (in this case always with After Cut)

Regarding api's I've search the web for functions like

Public Declare Function FindWindow Lib "user32" Alias
"FindWindowA" (ByVal lpClassName As String, ByVal lpWindowName As
    String) As Long

Public Declare Function GetWindow Lib "User" (ByVal hWnd, ByVal wCmd) As
    Integer

Public Declare Function ShowWindow Lib "user32" (ByVal hWnd As Long,
ByVal nCmdShow As Integer) As Integer

Public Declare Function SetFocus Lib "user32" (ByVal hWnd As Long) As
    Long

Public Declare Function GetClassName Lib "user32" Alias
"GetClassNameA" (ByVal hWnd As Long, ByVal lpClassName As String, ByVal
    nMaxCount As Long) As Long

Public Declare Function FindWindowEx Lib &...
  • andreas  - Thank you
thank you for your immediate reply. i will "study" your reply very
carefully. i hope i m not a pain in the ass if i ask you again in the future.

thank you again and congrats for your work!
  • Andreas  - help
    hello again

i want to create a program or a macro(if it is possible) capable of reordering
the tree in an assembly product file. moreover i want the constraints not to be
damaged and if it is possible to group the parts under certain conditions to
    products.

i am familiar with vba but not with vb.net and win apis but i am willing to
    learn.

i ve searched a lot and you are the only one who knows about this stuff. please
    help.
  • Grozea Ion
Is not a macro, it is a program made in VB.Net and is using win api to get the
controls of the reorder tree from Catia
  • Andreas  - Nice work
I am trying to do something like that but i have not managed a lot. is it
possible to send me that macro? It would be great help to me.

    Thank you
